Description
AFX 10V PM is a high-vanadium cold-work tool steel produced by Powder Metallurgy (PM). Its highly alloyed chemical composition provides exceptional wear resistance, good toughness and high mechanical strength, keeping cutting edges sharp longer and extending tool life compared with conventional AISI D2 and M2 steels.
It is recommended for processes and tooling involving high part volumes and abrasive materials. The PM route also provides greater stability during machining and grinding, as well as improved heat-treatment response and dimensional stability.
