In addition to supplying specialty steels, Aços Formosa has its own equipment for peeling, grinding and cold cutting. Material leaves our facility already processed to the dimensions and finish specified by the project, reducing preparation steps, machine time and machining costs for the customer.

Peeling
We remove the bar’s surface layer using peeling machines, eliminating scale, decarburization and rolling irregularities. The bar is delivered with a clean surface, controlled dimensional tolerance and ready for machining or heat treatment.
Grinding
Precision finishing by centerless and cylindrical grinding, with tight tolerances, good concentricity and low surface roughness on round bars for shafts, pins, rods and precision components.
Cold Cutting
We cut bars and blocks to the exact project dimensions, with accurate squareness and no heat-induced metallurgical changes. Material loss is minimal, reducing scrap and tooling preparation time.
